MANAGING UP

The ability to manage up is an issue that has been brought to my attention by several project managers in our local Denver area. Inspired by their questions and concerns, “Managing Up” was conceived.

 

This program is designed with complexities of project managers in mind. Not only is it important to positively impact team members to heightened productivity and results, it is also critical to effectively relate to other project managers, supervisors, vendors, customers, shareholders and other stakeholders. How can this happen?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This program discusses methods of communication to better influence without authority while sidestepping the kiss-up conundrum. We also emphasize the need for trust, and how to build that trust so your project is at the peak of their list of interest and activities. Furthering that, we explore how to provide unsolicited feedback so that you help build their strengths where they may have been shortcomings.

 

Personal cases are explored so participants have solid ideas to immediately use with their key personnel. Group discussions, individual activity and lecture are all used so attendees receive effective and efficient training.
